How to Cook the Perfect Steaks

Simple Steak Recipe

1. Start off by patting your steak dry with a paper towel. This helps create a nice crust. 2. Season the steak with Goodness Steak Seasoning, salt, and pepper to taste. 

3. Heat a skillet or grill pan over medium-high heat and coat with a light layer of oil. 

4. Place the steak in the pan and cook for 4-5 minutes per side, or until the steak is cooked to your desired doneness. 

5. Remove the steak from the heat and let it rest for 5 minutes before slicing. 

6. Serve the steak with your favorite sides and enjoy!

Fancy Steak Recipe

1. Start by patting the steak dry with a paper towel. 

2. Sprinkle the steak with Goodness Steak Seasoning, coarse sea salt, and freshly ground black pepper. 

3. Heat a cast iron skillet over high heat and add a few tablespoons of high-heat cooking oil such as canola or vegetable oil. 

4. Place the steak in the skillet and cook for 2 to 3 minutes per side. 

5. Reduce the heat to medium low and add a few tablespoons of butter. 

6. Flip the steak over and baste it with the butter for a few minutes. 

7. Flip the steak again and add a few tablespoons of minced garlic and fresh herbs such as thyme, rosemary, and sage. You can add some extra Goodness Steak Seasoning too.

8. Baste the steak with the butter and herbs for a few more minutes. 

9. Remove the steak from the skillet and let it rest for 5 minutes before serving.

Chicken Fried Steak 


-1 pound cube steak, cut into 4 equal portions 

-2 cups all-purpose flour 

-2 teaspoons garlic powder 

-1 teaspoon onion powder 

-1 teaspoon paprika 

-1 teaspoon salt 

-1 teaspoon black pepper 

-2 eggs 

-2 tablespoons milk

-2 cups vegetable oil, for frying 

-Goodness Steak Seasoning, to taste


1. In a shallow bowl, combine the flour, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, pepper, and Goodness Steak Seasoning. 

2. In another shallow bowl, whisk together the eggs and milk. 

3. Dip each steak into the egg mixture, then into the flour mixture, coating both sides. 

4. Heat the oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. 

5. Fry the steaks in the hot oil for 3-4 minutes per side, or until golden brown and cooked through.

6. Remove from the oil and place on a plate lined with paper towels to absorb any excess oil. 

7. Serve the chicken fried steak warm with your favorite sides.
